Many
years ago when I was first asked to do a pre-market clinical trial
on the product, I was extremely hesitant. And the reason was that
we were just finishing that whole yo-yo diet syndromethe potions,
the pills, the injections, the prescription stimulants, the meal replacement,
low calorie, low protein, low everything, sign a waiver say your going
to lose your own hair. We did every one of those programs and if we
stuck to them we sure did lose weight, but unfortunately they weren’t
healthy enough to support life long term and so you could only do
them for a few brief weeks at a time and then you had to go back to
normal eating. And even if you ate better than you had before in you
entire life, rapidly or slowly, you regained your weight.
And unfortunately an extremely high percentage of the weight loss
on those protocols and programs came from our lean muscle calorie
burning areas. And the body being threatened thought it was in another
famine, knows about famine, genetically we’ve done it a many
times and soon as we put one little morsel of fat or one little morsel
of sugar back in our body, it triggered that response to add back
all that to get ready for the next famine.
In those days we use to talk about 40-60% of the weight coming from
the lean muscle calorie burning areas, but today with much more advanced
testing and technologies and equipment, we’ve actually been
able to determine that those protocols that 10 out of every 11 pounds
we lose from our lean muscle calorie burning areas, connective tissue
and organ density and organ weight. And unfortunately, the body doesn’t
put back all of that precious protein material. It brings it all back
as fat.
We were asked to monitor a very large group of people, a group of
about over 300 and we did that for over a year. We got our first early
indicator at the 60-day point when we found on average people were
dropping 2.2inches for every pound reduced. Now that was better than
all of the other protocols we had ever monitored by 120%. The data
suggested something unique indeed was happening. It suggested that
perhaps we were burning up those stored fat calories without sacrificing
a significant amount of lean muscle. So in an effort to prove that,
we elected a small group of people to 61 including myself and we were
hydro-statically weighed right here at our local hospital.
When we went back 90 days later for our follow-up we absolutely did
have our proof. We found that not only were we not sacrificing significant
lean muscle calorie burning areas, but those of who had been down
that yo-yo diet trail for so many times, were literally beginning
to replace our lean muscle calorie burning area, our preciously sacrificed
protein material, connective tissue. And in that moment, as a group,
we knew we had something amazing and we coined the phase, “thinness
is the result of wellness.” So obesity is really a symptom
of something else going on in the body. And you know it set Calorad®
apart then and it’s still doing it today.
